Rococo en miniature

The Castles of the Praised Island

The praised island is a fantastic place for the kingdoms of Pelaria and Dyonia. A little Rococo-style cosmos of its own, seemingly removed from the world and yet connected to it. Discover magical places, whimsical personalities and the most magnificent castles in the universe.

The exhibition presents the life's work of Gerhard Bätz and Manfred Kiedorf. Inspired by the splendid court culture of the Baroque and Rococo, the fantasy realms of the castles of the praised island were created over the course of more than 50 years.

Since 2007, the permanent exhibition »Rococo en miniature« has been presented at Heidecksburg Palace in Rudolstadt, the former residence of the counts and princes of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, and has been expanded again in 2018. Experience the splendour en miniature in the permanent exhibition and discover Heidecksburg Palace, one of the most beautiful baroque castles in Thuringia!

We look forward to seeing you!
